New electromechanical micro switch with a switching capacity of 10A@48VDC.
The SCHURTER EDC (Electronic Direct Current) switch was specifically engineered for the reliable switching of direct current in compact systems. It combines the mechanical precision of a microswitch with integrated power electronics. The result of SCHURTER's new development: completely arc-free. Arcing is one of the greatest safety risks when switching direct current. The use of modern semiconductors completely eliminates arcing. With the well-known feel of mechanical switches, the load current is switched electronically without galvanic isolation. This protects both the system and the environment from damage caused by sparking or EMC interference.
The new SCHURTER EDC is available in two versions. Firstly, as a stand-alone version (EDC 02) for universal actuators, and secondly as a SCHURTER-specific version for the MSM II switch as an actuator (EDC 01). Both versions are designed for a rated current of 10 A at 48 VDC.
